my youngest is the clown in our house. (as you can tell from this picture!) he "borrowed" these glasses from his brother and when I asked him to look at me--this is what I got...this happens to be the 3rd layout I made for Elle's studio this month:
I wanted a slightly layered artsy look with this layout. I painted the chevron with a studio calico mask (it will be linked on the bottom of this post as will all other product I use...) Some of these pieces of paper were scraps that I loved SO much I couldn't throw them away! The cameo cuts (arrows, hexagon, and border below the saying are from a Studio Calico summer stamping class I took (the hexagon stamp was included in that class as well)
so here are a couple of closeups:
school starts this week, truthfully I think EVERYONE is ready for it to start! :) The boys found out their teachers on Friday, one was real excited the other wasn't so sure as she is new to our school. I'm sure she will be fine--he has friends in the class so all will be well. as for the freshman--she is like "bring it on!" it's fun to see her blossoming from her HORRIBLE experience in 5 & 6 grade. It wasn't the teachers (they were FANTASTIC, if it wasn't for them communicating with me things might have been worse) it was the other kids--they were like a wolf pack descending on what they perceived as weak just because she was quiet. My girl is anything BUT weak! She is one of the toughest kids I know (I don't say that just because I'm biased, but she is TOUGH!) She is looking forward to the experience and I'm glad I'm along for the ride!
