Happy Summer-yes please!

1 comment:
I LOVE summer-a time with no schedule and play time-this past summer was special because we got to spend time with cousins-these two have been buddies since they were little.  The background and papers are from the Happy Place kit from Scrapbook Circle--SO fun!

Here are a few closeups:

For the background cut I cut it in white and then use my water colors and painted the background--I used the colors that are in my son's shirt.  LOVE how it turned out!
Thanks SO much for the visit today!

Prom girls.

I have to confess I LOVE flowers.  I love them on pattern paper, as embellishments, shapes–you name it, I gravitate toward it!  So when I saw the Doodle Daisy background I HAD to use it, and that was even before I knew what I would use it for! 😉  I looked through my pictures and found some of my daughter and her friends at Prom-their dresses matched the paper in the kit and the cut was perfect!
I wanted to use something fun and whimsical for the title so I used the Simple Set Alpha.  I cut everything out in white card stock and sprayed it with Color Shine to match the colors in the picture and paper.  I love this combo!

my boys.

Have you ever loved a patterned paper and thought, “there’s pink on it–I can only use it for girls?”  Honestly, I used to think that to myself quite a bit!  I would fall in love with a paper and think that VERY same thing–I started quite a collection of my favorite “feminine” paper and then realized I was being ridiculous!  This same thought could definitely be used for more “masculine” papers….I started a new philosophy, if I like the paper I’m going to USE the paper!

I really LOVE the bright fun colors and prints in the Happy Place kit this month–SO much goodness!  I knew I wanted to use as much of it as I could!  I love that I could incorporate so many pattern papers on one page-a challenge?  Yep!  But I tried to stay true to my first two papers  that matte my pictures, the orange stripe and black and white squares.  I think it all came together to show the colorful personalities of my two handsome boys!

Brow Palette!

No comments:
I have found a NEW favorites in the Moodstruck Brow Obsession Palette and Brow Artist Brush.

Don't get me wrong I still love my Brow liner for a quick touch up on my eyebrows but this Palette is AMAZING!  Let me explain why, this comes in three shades. Blonde, Brunette, and Dark Brunette/Black.  I love that this gives me a natural look without going overboard.  Also, this palette will last me FOREVER-that right there is a BONUS!  With this brow artist brush gives me control on both ends.  The flat end is used to apply the wax to the top of my eyebrows.

Here is a closeup look of the inside of the palette:

The pink and cream colors are highlighters to accentuate your eyebrows.  Here is how to apply:
  1. Apply the light powder using the angled end of the Brow Artist Brush to fill in brows, paying special attention to sparse areas.
  2. Apply the dark powder to outline, define and create your desired brow shape also with the angled end of the Brow Artist Brush. **Tip: When creating the outline of your chosen brow shape, apply the darker powder wet for a clean, defined, application.
  3. Apply the matte highlighter to brow bone and above the tail of your brow for ultimate definition and brightening. **Tip: Apply the highlighter with the angled end of your clean Brow Artist Brush and blend out with your finger if necessary. **Tip: The matte highlight worn alone creates a great, natural-looking daytime look for your brows.
  4. Apply the setting wax using the flat end of your Brow Artist Brush to groom brows and keep them in place all day. **Tip: In a hurry and don't have time to complete all steps? use the angled end of your Brow Artist Brush to mix the powders and wax together before applying for a quick look. **Tip: Grab your Lash/Comb Brow Brush and comb the wax through your brows for perfect placement of each hair!
Thanks for letting me share this today!  Any questions--post them below or email me! ;)
