3 takes on 1 photo

1 comment:
These pictures were taken last year at Halloween time, we always make the cake for my mom who's birthday is the day before Halloween.  The kids and I made monster cupcakes.  When I take a picture that has all three kids I like to make a page for each of their books.  (I know I am crazy, and I should just photo copy the page, but for me it just isn't the same)
The paper is from the November kit from Scrapbook Circle (absolutely fabulous colors! and there are kits left!).

Supplies:
Cardstock, Just the edge border, pompom trim: Bazzill
Pattern Paper: Collage Press, Kaiser
Jewels: Kaiser, Hobby Lobby
ribbon: We R Memory Keepers
letter stickers: American Crafts, GCD studios
Brads: Doodlebug Designs
chipboard circle: American Crafts
Sewing, staples

Oh, these were so fun to put together! I won these off of Laura Vegas' blog a few weeks back. These were extra kits from a class she taught. Of course, I added a little of me to it, the pompom trim! It was just laying there on my desk and I had to use it! :) Thanks for peeking!

Magic Reindeer food

Have any little ones that want Santa to find your home?
I saw this cute idea on the Cricut message board and made it my own. The pompom nose is actually cut from the pompom grim by Bazzill. What also would be cute if you used red glitter glue!
Products used:
1/4 cup quick rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon glitter
4"x6" craft baggie (bought mine at Walmart)
Cricut: Doodlecharms (head cut twice at 2", once on shadow and once on normal)
google eyes
Bazzill cardstock (this came from my scraps stash!)
Assorted Christmas paper cut to 4"x6"
The poem reads:
Sprinkle on the lawn at night
as Santa's reindeer fly & roam
they will guide you to your home!

Basket full of yummy!

I saw this great idea over at Jen Davis' blog:
So easy and really fun, my kiddos helped assemble. I used my Christmas paper scraps from another project, and my cricut. The 4 x6 bags I bought at Walmart as well as the tasty mints inside (they melt in your mouth!)

Ornaments

Yippee, it's Christmas time! I saw this in the Making Memories blog and had to try it!
This was so SUPER fast and easy! My gingerbread man came out of hibernation with my sizzix, I think he is SO cute! :) My snowflakes and tree were cut with my cricut. The snowflakes are from the accent essentials cartridge and the tree is from the Christmas cheer cartridge.
A few things to remember when making these:
1.DO NOT make out of thin paper! It doesn't work.....
2.Make sure that you cut a symmetrical shape, (so your sides all match up)
3. Use a crop-a-dile to punch a hole in the top then set an eyelet. (and yes I know that we all have eyelets!)
4. I dusted off my sizzix to cut, and also used my cricut, you can make these with any die cutting machine or if you have 3 of the same sized shapes....

**wouldn't this be fun to add to your decor? Or to a gift for a fun tag? Or if you have a larger center piece? (I would cut four of the same shape, like I did with my tree)

O Christmas Tree

No comments:

I know I posted  this lovely tree before but, I neglected to give the instructions!  So here they are:
Paint frame.

 2.    Put frame face down on pattern paper so that the pattern you want on the front is “looking” at the front of your frame, lightly trace with a pencil.

4.    Turn the frame over and place within the traced frame, and lightly trace the inner part of your window.

5.     Cut out large traced piece with scissors.  For the inner window use an x-acto  knife.

6.     With your Cricut (Christmas Cheer) cut your tree at 4 ½”with lighter green heavier cardstock, next cut the same tree twice at 4 ½” with darker green cardstock on shadow mode.

7.       You will cut your tree at 4 1/2” with brown cardstock (for trunk) and yellow (for the star).  Once these are cut, trim trunk off the brown and cut off the star out of the yellow.  Glue these to your lighter green cardstock.

8.     Poke holes randomly on tree to place brads (for Christmas balls), I used 5.  Then set brads.

9.     Once glue is dry and your layers of tree are secure, put glitter glue on tips of branches.

13.  With your red pattern paper cut with your Cricut (Accent Essentials), set at 4” accent 47.  Once cut glue to your window.  **To make it evenly glued I turned it over so I could see the wrong sides and eyeballed the distance**

15 Next type O Christmas Tree, **remember you only have a 3x3” space** this is on white cardstock.  To cut out centered, I took the original cardboard piece from frame and pierced the center.  I then centered over the S of Christmas and lightly traced around it and cut it out.

16.With your ink pad lightly distress the edges.

17. Your tree should be dry now, place pop dots on back.  For the star and trunk I layered two one on top of the other so that it would be even height with the other pop dots.  Placed tree to the side, and you’re done!

So Thankful....

Wow! Sorry it's been a while, I have been so busy with parties, presents, being sick, and the like that I haven't posted. I wanted to share this little album that I made for Thanksgiving....
I got this idea from a good friend. I made this album with o-rings so that I could expand and also remove pages when we write what we are thankful for. I cut enough pages for 5 years. This album measure 5" x7"
The instructions to everyone were to write what they were thankful for and if they wanted to, draw pictures. I also made sure to take candid pictures of my kids to add (so I could see how they change over the years), I also had my mom take a picture of our family together. The pictures are placed randomly on the back of each of the Thankful pages. The paper is from Scrapbook Circle November kit.
Thanks for coming to visit, I promise I have a FEW things I can share, but others will have to wait until after Christmas. :)
Supplies:
pattern paper & chipboard sticker: basic grey
cardstock: bazzill
O-rings: Office Max
Jewels: Kaiser Craft
felt letters: American Crafts

TWILIGHT

1 comment:
I REALLY liked it!  I went in not expecting anything and liked it, yes there were moments of silliness but all in all I liked it.  It was such a fun time with my friends.  We went to a private showing so it made it that much better....
There was trivia (I didn't even try to win) but my good buddy went Jennie went down and won the rest of us the soundtrack.  Thanks again Jennie!
Our fun group!  Sure was fun to see with other people that wanted to see it!
I went to High School with these girls, (we are making our mascot sign--JackRabbits)
Hubby told me just now he wants to wait until it's not in the theater, is he trying to tell me something?!

Baby book #3

1 comment:
Okay! Sorry for the quality of these pictures ( I took them 3 different times, different areas....)This is the 3rd baby book I made for my friend who had her baby boy last Saturday, he is CUTE!! I had the best time with this Cosmo Cricket paper & album. My friend's style is a little more simple and I wanted to leave room for pictures and journaling. I did a couple of extra pages for fun!
Supplies:
paper & Album: Cosmo Cricket
ribbon: not so sure
lettering: cricut cuttin' up
jewels: hobby lobby, michaels
machine sewing
And you can't tell but dimensional glue: diamond glaze
I made a card and matching bag, but sense my computer is not responding so quickly and my picture taking ability has left me for today. I'm not going to post them.
I have a bunch of other projects going on right now, but they are pretty much all Christmas presents, but maybe I can give sneaks....(yes I am not so good at secrets, I just get SO excited!)
Thanks for looking! And for those of you going to TWILIGHT, have fun! I am going tomorrow with a BIG group of friends!
