prom.

4 comments:
so yes, I posted a page last week about prom and the pictures were from this VERY same photo shoot--I'm telling you these two made it easy to take their pictures!  This one I wanted to focus on just the black and white with a hint of cream...thank you Bella Blvd. for having some fun stuff to work with, the sweet doilies was cut with my silhouette machine.
 closeup:
I took the blue letters and colored them black so that they would work the way that I wanted too!
I'm off and running--thanks SO much for the visit today!

mother's day.

3 comments:
I know that we are past Mother's day but I finally found the perfect mix of papers to go with these pictures, and I even used feathers!  I think this is one of my favorite layouts in a long time--layering sewing, washi tape, pop dots, pearls, the triangles were cut with my silhouette...Most of this product is a mix of Bella Blvd. lines...SO fun!
This picture makes me smile a bit as my daughter looks a lot taller than I am, she is NOT--she takes EVERY opportunity to look taller than me..and the other funny thing is that her brother (in the darker shirt) is actually taller than she is--silly kid!
Thanks for the visit today!!

Last week I mentioned that we are still having some uncomfortable summer temps--so I thought why not share some more summer layouts?
This is my super cute nephew Austin, he lives in Utah so we don't get to see him that much, I just had to take some shots of him walking around in the grass in his bare feet waiting for the parade to start. Yes, there was a lot of RED, WHITE, and BLUE going on in the parade and he just happened to be wearing those colors too!
I used the fun using one of my FAVORITE patriotic lines from Bella Blvd. All American....
 closeups:
These are popped up off the page a bit, and YES I did use my silhouette to cut the stars--LOVE that machine!
 thanks for the visit today!

This past week I was challenged and blogged about just keeping it real, or scrapping everyday moments.  A few years ago we were visiting family and I needed models, my own kids sort of just wanted to run away but my nieces stepped right up and volunteered--and they were both photogenic!  My kids then decided it was okay and joined in the fun.  Today though I wanted to focus on my beautiful niece Lily--such a beautiful girl!
I used mist on the background which I painted on with a plastic garbage bag--such a super fun technique.  I SO enjoyed scrapping with the cameras & arrows too.  All of this loveliness can be found in the Photo Goes Here kit and the Addon Snapshot from Scrapbook Circle.

I thought I would share a summery layout...here in Arizona we are still running about 105 degrees daily..where the rest of the country seems to be cooling down and turning to fall.  Our only difference is that is is FINALLY cooler in the morning and at night, not much but it's getting there..  This picture makes me laugh EVERY time--these "kids" love the pool as a boredom buster and Ella gets REALLY excited because she wants to play too!

closeups:
I've been wanting to do a pie chart on a layout forever and it ALMOST didn't happen but then this layout just needed something else--so I went ahead and put the assembled chart on.  (this cut is in the silhouette store, look under pie chart)
if your curious this is all Bella Blvd. goodness--thanks SO much for the visit today hope that your day is a GREAT one!

I wanted to share with you another layout of mine.  I used the American Crafts XOXO line, just love the pops of red that go along with the flowers...pretty simple page that I really wanted the pictures to pop!

 title action:
Pretty proud of this young man in the picture--he reported to the MTC (Mission Training Center) today, he will be serving as a missionary for 2 years for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (nicknamed LDS or Mormons) in Minneapolis.  To say I'm a PROUD aunt would be an understatement--I'm excited for him to grow and come back a man.  Yes, bittersweet as we won't see him for this time, we get to write letters, send pictures, and he calls his family on Mother's Day & Christmas.  This time brings fond memories of when I served my mission in Venezuela, what wonderful people I met, and AWESOME experiences I had...(this young man was born when I was on my mission)--SWEET!
Thanks SO much for visiting with me today!

My take:
Closer up look at the title work:
I loved the splattering of mist I used on this fun page--I just closed my eyes to my NEED to have everything match (think everything has to go with the colors of the people's clothes in the picture) and PLAYED--so fun and therapeutic!!  I used the WONDERFUL Photo Goes Here kit, and the Snapshot add on kit.
Well, I'm off to celebrate a birthday with my boy--thanks for the visit today!!

I had the opportunity to share a designer insight on the Scrapbook Circle blog this week.  I talked about scrapbooking with A LOT of pictures--this particular layout has 16 pictures on it--eye candy if you will.  When I look at these pictures they make me smile--GOOD times--the journaling is on the back:
with the pictures being the main feature I just added a bit of fun to the title and papers that layered up underneath.  I used this month's kit which is titled Photo Goes here, the Snapshot add on and the cardstock add on.  (all of the add ons ship for FREE with your main kit!)
A closer up of the title:
thanks SO much for the visit today--I'm off getting people ready for campouts and birthdays!

The My Girl line from American Crafts is DEFINITELY feminine and BEAUTIFUL.  I decided to make a card something I really hadn't done with this line yet.  (This is the other item in the gallery for this month):

wanted to share a fun layout that is up in the American Crafts gallery this month:
to say this boy is silly would probably be an understatement--he is truly hilarious AND dramatic--have NO idea where that comes from! ;)
I found these silly photos in a pile of pictures that have been WAITING to be scrapped--as you can tell they are in different locations but they are ALL the same day, but birthdays around here are an all day affair.  I think it took me a long time to scrap these pictures because they WERE in different locations--silly I know, but I did it and I used the Mayberry line from American Crafts--love that I can use this fun summery line for a fall birthday!
thanks for the visit today--off to a fun filled day of activities!

Today I am featured on the Scrapbook Circle blog with this layout:
my assignment was to feature the EXCLUSIVE stickers and journaling cards in the Photo Goes Here kit. Seriously they are REALLY easy to use!  I actually have three items on the page one on the top left corner one as a matte underneath my bottom photo and the smile sticker on top of the bottom photo.  Here's a closeup:
For this sticker I punched out a circle of pattern paper included in the kit, then centered the sticker and finally added a pop dot (LOVE those!).
Closeup of the title, these letters can be found in the Snapshot Add on:
So a few details about this layout, the cardstock I used is also an add on (that ships free with your kit).  I took some gesso and with a used itunes card spread the gesso around the page keeping it more to the center.  Then I "dropped" mist (Color Shine Gold--it's my FAVORITE) on the page and "painted" it with a foam brush--seriously EASY and fun!  What's cool about that particular technique is that you can use it with ANY color combo!

Before I go I wanted to share something SERIOUSLY awesome!  If you'd like to order a kit for yourself, or start a subscription, you can get a 10% discount by entering this code in with your order: dianaw10off

the fine print: this coupon is valid for use on your FIRST order OR current subscribers can use this on your add-on orders!
