well, Hello!

2 comments:
Man, what a BUSY past couple of days! Hope your Thanksgiving was great. Ours was full of adventures, and fun. I did create something on my pages that I wanted to share. Did I mention how much I LOVE this December kit?!
Fun thing about this cardboard, it's from the box my new water heater came in. My kids made it into a fort, and it was one of the cut out windows. I cut it down to 8 x 8 and tore the outside off. Pretty fun! I left some paper so that whatever I decide to put on there will have something to hold on to.
I only have two more pages to do and I am finished! Woohoo! (I think I mentioned that last time but with the lack of time and not being home, well...they didn't get finished!)

Okay, real quick I want to plug two things. I posted a money saving tip at The Everyday Scrapper blog. Check it out!

Next, tomorrow there will be a BLOG hop at Scrapbook Circle! Up for grabs is a December kit There will be RAKS too! Stay tuned! :)
Thanks for stopping by! Make this Monday a GREAT one!

Me & Jacob--more pages from My December daily

4 comments:
so I've been up since like 6:15am why? We walk our neighbors dog, usually it's dh and whichever kid wants to earn some $$. But DH had to run to Home Depot at that time, BECAUSE our hot water heater went out yesterday. UGH! I was trying to take a shower RIGHT before I was leaving for the movie and it was C-O-L-D!! I am grateful for a VERY handy husband, and hot water!

So, New Moon was great! I think it was better than Twilight! Our theatre was PACKED, my friend Jennie also helped me with trivia and I won the soundtrack! Thanks again Jennie! I also bought a souvenir cup of Jacob--heck I NEVER do that AND I get a free refill next time I go in! :)
yeah, that's me and Jacob! :) It totally looks like I'm holding his hand! (I was actually making sure he didn't fall over!)--As one of the only men in the theatre pointed out during the movie. He's only 16!! That made the whole crowd of women laugh!
They did take more pictures outside with both Edward and Jacob. I had a REALLY fun time! I ran home only to leave to go to our exhibition soccer game between my DD and DS! They are 2 years apart in age so the skill levels were different. I've NEVER seen the boys play so w
ell. The girls won 3-1. It was fun to yell for both sides...Today are our last games...YIPEE!! I'm ready for a breather....
Okay, thanks for reading this far! Here are more pages of my December daily:
This actually an envelope that I cut down and sewed up to fit my 8" top.
I used a trading card holder that I cut down, this is the front and back:

December daily, reminder, and NEW MOON!

3 comments:
So I've been plugging away at my December Daily. So far I have 13 pages done, woohoo! I've decided not to put numbers on my pages or punch holes until I put my stuff in. I read on Ali Edwards blog that she moves her numbers around, I don't want to worry about tearing my pages so I'll just wait!

This first page I cut down an 8 x 8 sheet protector and then sewed it back up. The page inside measures roughly 7 1/4" x 8" :
I decided to that I will make a few pocket pages for concert information. I made the pocket big enough to place a picture on the outside....
I just LOVE this tree paper-and the little tree--CUTENESS!! As you can tell I really like that Martha Stewart Punch as well! (I bought it at Michaels)
I really wanted to use the other side of the tree paper and this WONDERFUL lace paper. I came up with this:
As you can tell I like to keep myself at a few products when I do my albums, for me it seems to keep me focused on using up the stash & I like it a little more uniform--things matching a bit.
Other than the December kit by Scrapbook Circle I've used:
Distress ink, my punch, swiss dots Bazzill paper & stickles. Pretty sweet! I'm telling you that December kit is just YUMMY! Way to go Lisa!

**Reminder tomorrow I will be drawing names for my stamp giveaway. Make sure you've got your comment in and become a follower!**

Tomorrow is the day for New Moon! I'm so excited!! Last year a group of girls bought out a theatre and we watched Twilight. There were prizes and trivia and just a bunch of giggling women and girls. It was SO MUCH FUN! I'm looking forward to the "girl" time! :)

Well, I need to get back to laundry and maybe completing a few more pages for my album. Thanks for stopping by- and make it a Terrific Thursday!

So I've been working on my December Daily, this is the cover. Whatcha think?
So you are getting a little sneak at the December kit from Scrapbook Circle too! (it's AWESOME!!) I did get a few more pages done that I will share in the next few days. For me it's hard to create something that doesn't already have the pictures. I guess it's easier when it's a gift, because I know that's the way it's going to be. I know I'm weird!

**your reminder!! I will be drawing a name THIS Friday. Go HERE for more information on my giveaway**

And FINALLY, Scrapbook Circle is having a Design Team call. Go HERE to go check it out! Lisa has AWESOME kits and is GREAT to work for!

Thanks for stopping by today! I want to hurry up because I need time for creating! :) Make today a good one!

Happy Fall!

4 comments:
I took this IDEA from the Shimmerz blog and made my own little sign-even though I don't have shimmerz or a canvas-I REALLY like how it turned out. I actually made this for a friend who lent us costumes from Halloween. I plan on giving it to her today.
A few tips that I did to make this.

1. First of all the letters are Scenic Route and they started out looking like THIS. I sanded them to take the shine off and sprayed them with my Tattered Angels mist-coffee shop-(it's the only one I own).

2. For my wood block I bought that at a dollar store like 2 years ago. I painted it white then distressed it using THESE I've had them FOREVER!

3. instead of using a gold leafing pen I used these metallic rubons for the center and edges of my leaves.

4. my paper is a modge podge that went together. You want them to match a little...
Supplies used:
wooden sign: dollar store--you maybe able to get a piece of wood and cut it down at Lowes....
letters: Scenic Route
pattern paper: Graphic 45, Scenic Route, Sassafrass Lass
bling: Prima
ribbon: American Crafts

Sorry I've been away, I've been Christmas shopping, soccer, playing with my new PHONE(I feel so smart!--get it it's a smartphone...) soccer, reading my BOOK, soccer.

For those of you that have asked my niece is doing well, she might even get to come home sooner than expected! Thank you for your prayers.

Stay tuned for my giveaway post! As you know THIS is my 300th post! 3 hints it will have to do with unity, followers and friends!:)

Thanks for stopping by I hope that you make your Veteran's Day a grateful one, especially to those you know who have fought to keep our country free.

Abigail's album

7 comments:
Do you ever find yourself distracted? What I mean is, do you ever want to start one project and realize you probably should do a couple others before you start the first one?
It's like when you clean your house. You pick up something in one room which needs to be put away in another, when you get to the other room you realize there is a mess in there that needs to be cleaned up and you start cleaning that one up--ALMOST forgetting about the first room you started cleaning...that is until you walk back in there! If your giggling, you must do this too!

What does this have to do with today? I made an album. No, not my Christmas album, but a baby album for my new niece Abigail. I thought I would have more time, she came a month early, she is doing well but needs to stay in the hospital until her due date. Anyway with the album I sort of cheated but loved how it came together:
I "cheated" because I used a kit from SEI. Everything is cut out and there is a map for where everything goes. I bought a set of 4 on clearance about a year ago. Anyway, THIS is the kit I used. I just added my own touch--sewing of course! :) SEI carries several of these in different sizes, this one happens to be 4 x 6 page protector. I like the fact that all they need to do is add pictures and journaling.
As for my other project that is NOT my Christmas album, it has to do with fall and I got the idea from the Shimmerz blog. I don't own any shimmerz (although I want too!) So I had to make do. Right now I'm in the middle of it's creation. HOPEFULLY, I will have time to finish it today!
Thanks for stopping by and reading this MEGA long post! Take care and have a FUN Friday!

Back to School album

4 comments:
So I FINALLY finished this Back to School album:
And ya know what? I have the paper for next year's album-it's REALLY cute! I ordered from Stop and Scrap (they do great deals on paper packs and often have % off)- got the October Afternoon Report Card.

I'm now assembling my December Daily--I should say that I'm gathering.... I'm pretty excited, last year I waited to long and got to stressed out to do it. What is a December Daily? It's Ali Edwards idea of chronicling December. Her whole idea is get the album done now so that all you have to do in December is print off pictures and journal. EASY, right? I sure hope so! One thing I like is that her album is a mod podge of papers and supplies--I have that!
Here are her:
I'm planning on using a lot of the December kit from Scrapbook Circle--FABULOUS I tell you!

I FINALLY have my voice back but not the lung capacity-I do however feel SO MUCH BETTER! Hope all is well with you! And for those of you that are wondering how close I am to 300 in posts, it's like 2 away! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Where've I been?!

1 comment:
Been fighting a cold or SOMETHING all week, and now I have laryngitis! Woohoo! Made cheering at the soccer games fun, NOT!! Good thing I can whistle LOUDLY!
Somehow I made it through the week not making any soccer practices...just didn't feel up to it...only 3 more Saturdays and were done!
Anyway, Wednesday I started this cute little album:
I had the kid's sign their names and tell me about their thoughts on the first day of school. All I need to do is clip their signatures and journal their thoughts and mine. I made one of these albums last year, (you can see it HERE) it was just so fun! I plan on adding a few more pictures this year of activities that they have done throughout the year. It's pretty simple, I didn't want to add to much bulk. I used the now SOLD OUT August Kit from Scrapbook Circle to make this.
when I get this one completed I'll take more pictures and share! Thanks for stopping by and visiting! :)
