I have a bit of a story about this layout--that CUTE little boy is my hubby. It was TOTALLY funny because my boys each though it was one of them! :) My hubby doesn't have to many pictures of himself as a little guy. A few years ago one of his sisters found a box of pictures at her parent's house and scanned them. Then after that HUMONGOUS job she gave each of the 7 siblings a copy of the pictures. Low and behold there were a few pics of my hubby. This was one of the few pictures that didn't exactly have a date but we guest-mated the age.
Another little tidbit about this layout. I initially was going to make it an 8 1/2 x 11 but it just didn't look right. I then placed it on a 12 x12 and it STILL didn't look right! So I cut 2" off of the side and made it a 10 x 12" layout. (that is taking a creative page out my scrapping buddy Elizabeth Carney's page) Now it looked right! I added a few things here and there and it was finished!

Great photo!! And I love how it turned out with your changes! The large black mat looks great against the 12x12 background and I love all of the different papers you used behind the photo!
