Superbowl?! Microwave Carmel popcorn

If your looking for the Scrapbook Circle blog hop please scroll down...
Did anyone watch the super bowl last night?  I am really not a football fan, but it was still fun!  I do have to share with you if you haven't seen it my FAVORITE commercial of the night:

Just SO cute! :)

For an after school treat (notice I said treat not healthy) I made Carmel popcorn.  It's taking every ounce of energy not to snarfle the whole thing!  here's the EASY recipe (I've been making this sense I was a teenager....)

1 paper bag--like from the grocery store when they used to ask you paper or plastic
4 quarts popped popcorn (using your hands sift out the kernels)
1 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup corn syrup
1 stick butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda

In a microwaveable bowl melt butter.  Add sugar, corn syrup, salt cook on high for 2 minutes (it will be bubbly)  Add baking soda.  While your mixture is cooking add your sifted popcorn to the paper bag.  Pour cooked mixture over popcorn and stir until it's well coated.  Roll bag closed and cook for 1 1/2 minutes longer.  Pour onto a greased cookie sheet, eat when it's cooled!
See it's easy! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by for a visit!
