FREE for my Birthday

Happy Saturday to you!  Loving the overcast weather today.  I wanted to share this layout with you.  The paper is Echo Park--LOVE them!  Anyway, I received the pack at CHA it wasn't a whole set so it was a little tricky.  I finally decided to use the border paper as the back ground, there were flowers on it so I cut those off and just stitched the scalloped border to the bottom.  I misted to tone down the colors just a bit, and toned the star with two different colors, one is peacock (the blue) and on the edges were done in charcoal.  Chipboard sure soaks up the mist, SO yummy to layer it up!
one more thing I wanted to draw your eye to were the little stars, they were actually cut from the border paper too-you can see what they looked like originally.  I just popped them up with a pop dot cut in quarters.
The ruler banner is also from the border paper I just snipped it--notice it goes to 10?  It was celebrating my son's 10th birthday.
I forgot to mention that these photos are from my phone.  I remember feeling frustrated for not bringing my "real" camera but was SO glad I took these, even though they aren't "perfect" they still capture a special moment for my son.  well, I'm off to two more games today! :)  Hope that your day is a WONDERFUL one!
products used:
pattern paper: Echo Park

Superfun and Supercute LO! And, I often feel the same way about not having my camera available to capture moments! I so need to invest in a smaller camera to have with me at all times!

This is GREAT! I think your camera phone pictures are actually really good!!! Better to have them then none at all! I love that you used your sons voice in your journaling...

Mmmmm, Krispie Kreme. I LOVE what you did with this layout. The camera pics look good to me! The banner representing his age and his words for the journaling is BRILLIANT. I can tell you put a lot of thought into this!
