Rocky Road Pizza

No comments:
Oooh, love this! I used to make this all the time! Out of a cookbook I got for my 11th birthday from my brothers (do you think it was a hint!) Here is the recipe:
1 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
Turn oven to 375 degrees. In a large mixer bowl beat butter/margarine on medium speed till softened. Add sugar and brown sugar and beat till fluffy.
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cup flour
add egg and vanilla. beat well. With mixer on low speed gradually beat in flour. Spread dough evenly in an ungreased 14" pan. Bake for 12 minutes or till golden
sprinkle peanuts, marshmallows, and chocolate pieces a top hot crust. Return pizza to oven. Bake 6 to 8 minutes longer or until marshmallows are golden. cool in pan on cooling rack. Makes 32 pieces
1 cup peanuts
1 cup marshmallows
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate pieces

This was my youngest counting down the last minute for when the pizza would be ready!!

Baby book #2

Yipee I finished this last night around 11pm!! I am usually a day scrapper so I am REALLY tired today. I decided that I would post the cover here and link you to Two Peas, (there are 20 pages!) I used up most of the Sultry kit I got at Hobby Lobby, this album I got at Walmart like 2 years ago (wish I could get another, but I have never seen anymore!) The flower jewels are from Walmart the rest are from Hobby Lobby, ribbon is a mix from my stash and Creative Imaginations, I used stickles, and sewed on most of the pages. It's hard for me to create things without pictures (I guess it's all about the space orientation thing.) So I left the pages wide open for journaling and pictures. Some of the papers were so wonderful I didn't want to cover them up to much. Again thanks for looking....

Which Indiana Jones?

No comments:
Okay we just finished watching the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, (my LEAST favorite of the four). It's one of those series of movies that brings up childhood memories like the fact that when the first one came out in the Theatres my two older brothers went (it was around their birthdays) and I had to stay home! It also was the very first VHS movie we owned (my dad is a Harrison Ford fan, they're within months of each other age wise). I even liked the latest one, come on you gotta give it a chance! Be prepared to be entertained and you will! So, Which one is your favorite?

shoppin like mad!!

Okay, if you have a hobby lobby anywhere close to where you are you will understand.....They just opened one here right close and I LOVE IT!! Went Monday without kids, they had their paper on 1/2 off, jewels (my new obsession!) 1/2 off, stamps 1/2 off, albums and refills 1/2 off plus I had a 40% coupon. I used my coupon for the new Scrapbooks etc page planner, awesome! I did also buy paper in packs one was the Cogsmo (Cosmo Cricket) and the other Basic Grey (Sultry). I bought both because it was basically a screaming deal and both because they will go in baby albums. I came home and put my jewels away like a good girl. And then sat there and admired the shimmer.....So I went again to Hobby Lobby Friday with the kids (I was going for a wedding gift!) But of course I had to get different size of jewels (because I don't have them!) And some of those fabulous American Craft D-ring binders with refills. If you haven't seen them, they are awesome! No more post about for me! They were hard for me to get used to in the first place.....Anyway, today my LSS had a fab sale if you went within certain hours they had a 25% discount off everything! I mostly got paper because I don't have enough! I was super excited because there are some pictures I have had for like a year on my desk needing to be done! I have now spent my budget for 3 months, yipee for me!!! Now the challenge is to actually get down and create!

Have you ever stopped to wonder......

Just lately I have been thinking, what are all the labels that I"am"? Daughter, Sister, Niece, Wife, Mother, teacher, crafter, dog groomer, chef, barber, Cub scout Den leader, counter, wedding planner, decorator, friend, canner, cheer leader, hiker, comedian. Here is a layout a did a while ago that started me thinking on the things that I "am":

So ask yourself what am I? Challenge yourself to see what you come up with!

Cards

2 comments:
So I am not much of a card maker....well actually I it's not yet one of those things I feel so comfortable doing, but I did play last week and this is what I came up with:
Funny thing....the sequins that I used my mom had when I was a little girl, so they're vintage!

Baby album #1

I have a few friends that are having babies this year. I usually make baby albums for baby gifts (I like to be different than clothes, and diapers!) This one I had a little help from SEI. This is one of the 4 x 6 kits in a bag, I wanted to make it my own, so I added jewels, stickles and machine stitching. I am really excited with how it turned out!
