Family Good times...

4 comments:
Don't you just love it when a layout comes together quickly?  I needed a little boost (thanks pinterest!) with my edge but after that I was on my way:
See the dots, i pulled out my Heidi Swapp mask from who knows when and started misting with some October Afternoon sprinkler mist (wheat field) and then topped it off with some sprinkles of (ice box--both are from the Farmhouse collection AND my stash...)
 little closeup:
my assignment for the Scrapbook Circle blog was to focus on the My Mind's eye button card included in the Remember This kit--which by the way ROCKS!!  See the little butterfly?  I ripped him in the center! (I know--the horror!)  I decided I wanted to thread it with the twine which was included in the kit, I like the bunchy feel almost looks like a french knot...
I also used the add on kit (which has sold out twice--sorry!) the chipboard border & date are from it....

ANYWAY, today I went on a field trip with my youngest to the orthodontist office--it was actually pretty fun--AND short about an hour.  I loved the fact that he learned about cleaning his teeth and what exactly causes cavities--he even won an electric toothbrush!  He was SO proud! :)

Thanks for the visit today, I'm off and running kids!  Have a great one!

Creative Scrappers #57 Reveal

4 comments:
Yeah! So I can FINALLY reveal my layout:
I added some waves to the waves from the Bazzill from the edge borders. It was initially lime green I inked it to get to the color I wanted.
This was such a fun layout! I knew when I saw the amount of pictures it needed, I had the perfect pictures to fit! Except for the bling and cardstock everything came from the June kit at Scrapbook Circle. This is my DD first attempt at water skiing, she actually got up! She was on a campout with her dad, and someone else took these pictures for us. I guess out of all the girls that were there she was the ONLY one to get all the way up!
Hope you are having a fun Father's day Sunday! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Mother's Day!--Creative Scrappers reveal--

2 comments:
Okay, this is the card I got from my kid's.  I really was laughing--seriously!!
I got breakfast in bed and the kitchen was ALL cleaned up this morning.  I am spoiled!  My kid's have been making me sweet little pictures for the last couple of days.  I definitely feel loved.

Friday I went to the school for muffins with mom with my kindergartner, songs were sung and a bio of what my son thought that I am.  For example, I am 20 years old with orange eyes--(the orange eyes was my favorite!--to funny...)  I hope everyone is have a Happy Mother's Day!

Today was also the reveal for Creative Scrappers sketch #51  here is my take:
I really did have a lot of fun, because the paper and pictures were so fun.  I even did a few new things like adding a LARGE piece of chipboard (the circle) and the paper gathering.  These pictures were taken at young DS cookies on the polar express at Christmas time.  Can you tell he likes it when I take his picture?
Supplies used:
pattern paper: Sassafrass lass
chipboard: Fancy Pants
stickers: sassafrass lass
letter stickers: American crafts
jewels: unknown
other: machine sewing
Better run for now, I appreciate you stopping by!  Hope you make it a good one.

Sketch #49 reveal at Creative Scrappers!

2 comments:
This one was a fun one to work with.  Wanna know my technique?  well, I'm gonna tell ya anyway! :)  What I do is I print off the sketch and tape it on the wall in front of my desk, so I can see it as I sit down.  Sometimes inspiration hits right away other times--it's a few days.  I bought this paper over at Stop and Scrap--it's the Night Light collection from October Afternoon--LOVE it!  The star is a take of my flower, followed the same instructions I just made a star instead of a flower.

supplies used:
pattern paper: October Afternoon
letter stickers: October Afternoon, Making Memories
eyelets: making memories
cardstock edged: Bazzill
journaling card: October Afternoon
chipboard: Fancy Pants
glitter glue: Stickles
distressing ink, machine sewing, hemp, buttons

Thanks so much for stopping by!

My take on sketch #48 at Creative Scrappers

1 comment:
I was blessed enough yesterday to have some time to create (probably the only time this week).  I took sketch #48 and made this (this sketch was not my assigned sketch but looked like SO much fun!):

In honor of green day, I used up my stash!  This Fancy Pants paper I have had for maybe a year, and the swirls & brads too!  My letters are new from Peachy Cheap, I was happy there because usually things will sit in the bag and not get used!  I was just happy to finally get this picture scrapped! :)  Thanks for stopping by!

supplies used:
pattern paper: October Afternoon, Fancy Pants
brads, swirl, letters: American Crafts
jewels: unknown
strip of stars: Bazzill
stamps: Autumn leaves
chipboard stars: Fancy Pants
glitter glue: stickles
