Let's go puppy.

Oh baby Ella, look how small she was--SO cute!!  I have to be honest I still call her baby puppy and she is almost 7!  I created this page using the May Here and Now kit from Scrapbook Circle--I just love the mix of deliciousness!
here are some closeups of my page:
Really loved layering up on the acetate, made me "nervous" at first, but once I got the hang of how to adhere without visible adhesive, I LOVED it!  I also used liquid adhesive on the back of the puppy letters so they would stay.

Prom.

2 comments:
well here I am the second day of summer!  Phew the last few weeks have been a FLURRY of ACTIVITY with my daughter's end of the track season, Prom, graduating and deciding where to go to school.  Sure is nice to feel the calm after the storm, amazingly my house doesn't look like a tornado has hit.  ANYWAY, I would love to show you a page that I created with 3 cuts from JustNick Studio, closeups first.  I really wanted dimension without the distraction of colors so I decided to cut my digital cuts in white cardstock.  Because I cut them on white textured cardstock I had the option of letting the "flat" side be on top or the textured.  I decided to use both!  If you look closely on the flower you can see the alternate sides:

 My page:
JustNick Studios teamed up with Fancy Pants-I LOVED using the bright bold colors in the Attwell collection they went really well with my daughter's dress and the black suit of her date.  I really like how this page turned out!
I used four cuts on this page, they were STEMS, STEMS 2, SPIROGRAPH 3, and BASIC FLOWERS.

pinterest food find. cornbread pancakes

1 comment:
now these may sound a little strange, but I have to tell you these are not only DELICIOUS but SUPER easy to make.  The other night I was in a pinch for dinner, so I turned to my recipes on Pinterest (I honestly get bored with the same thing.)  I wanted to make something without meat (challenge myself a bit), and that was QUICK!
food and photo credit: Erren's Kitchen
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup
  • 1 cup
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1⅓ cups
  • ½ stick
  • 2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Mix dry ingredients in large bowl and form a well into the middle of the mixture.
  2. Mix egg, milk, melted butter, and oil in a large mixing bowl. Pour into the well of dry ingredients; mix well.
  3. Heat a lightly oiled griddle over medium-high heat.
  4. Pour ¼ cup batter on griddle to form a pancake and cook until browned holes form all over the top of the pancake. Flip and cook until browned on the other side (about 1 minute). Continue with remaining batter.

we are family.

I LOVED creating this Mother's day themed page for Just Nick Studios.  I wanted this page to be as special as the picture on it.  So I took my time and looked through the wonderful cuts and my patterned paper for the "right" mix.

closeup:
I am really pleased with the mix.  For my page I used three different cuts.
I'm always surprised with how you can make an image look a little different just by the type/style of paper that you use.  One more note on my layout, as I was creating my page-I wasn't really "liking" the look of my background paper against my dream catcher cut, so I decided to paint the background with gesso.  That is EXACTLY what my page needed, a little lightning up!
