Sweetness.

This layout is featured on the Scrapbook Circle blog today.  It's featured because I participated in challenge #53 which is to mix patterns on a layout.  I had SO much fun sifting through Pinterest inspiration to find something that spoke to me.  Here is the inspiration:
source found HERE
When I decided to do the circles I had to scour the house for round items, my desk looked hilarious with bowls cups, lids and assorted circle items.  I traced them and then sewed around the circle--it was a little tricky but eventually got it right!
 closeups of my lovely stitching:

to cut the circles I used my silhouette and then sorted the extra pieces into patterns that didn't have the same design...almost had my 10 year old come and help me.  He is a FANTASTIC sorter!  It all turned out the way I imagined and it was FUN!
If you want to play along ALL the info can be found HERE, there is a $10 shop credit up for grabs!
Thanks SO much for the visit I appreciate it!

This was my other page that was featured on the American Crafts blog during stamping week.  Like I said yesterday it sure helps to work with quality products--I don't consider myself a stamper but this layout was SO stamped on! :)  The whole back ground sheet was made with a stamp, versa mark ink, and embossing powder I wanted it to mimic the yellow weeds...
this one was truly a fun layout to work on--this is one of my FAVORITE pictures and you might recognize it because I have scrapped it before (remember I scrap the same picture for each kid--I know I'm crazy but it's fun for ME!)  I used the My Girl line from American Crafts on this page.

this will be a REAL quick drive by post!  (If you are looking for the American Crafts hop it's down a post.)
A few weeks ago the challenge was to use stamps on either a layout or card.  I had a BLAST with the stamps--it's easy to stamp when you have FANTASTIC product!  ALL products are from the Soho Garden collection from American Crafts--one of my FAVORITES!
 closeups:
funny side note, last Sunday I brought up the fact that I was 40 in my Sunday school class of 16 & 17 year olds.  They just could NOT believe I was 40--I thought it was HILARIOUS.  One day they will understand that your body might age but the insides stay young! :)
thanks for the quick visit today--have a GREAT one!
